You know, if it weren't for the Golden-age of Comics, we wouldn't have comics (or even some real life heroes) today! Elvis was a huge fan of Golden-age Captain Marvel, which he honored by wearing the cape in his later years on stage and many of the leaders we have had read comics while serving in WWII!

This great movie from Hammer Films is a technicolor wonderment! Basically the same story as the TV shows but done with more flair and style, since they shot this in color. Plus, Cushing is a better First Doctor than Hartnell in my opinion. Also, this is more comedy than the early television versions, more tongue-in-cheek! GREAT STUFF!!!
As most first appearances are worth more money, the real first appearance (Action Comics #1) is by far more valuable than mere money. It gave us comics as we know them!!
This was the first new JLA as envisioned by Grant Morrison and Howard Porter! They took a "super-team" to the next level and gave us a REAL super-team! Excellent stuff!!
Top Ten Forty-Niners is a great book (story and art) and you really need to see the pages to see some of the best "easter-eggs" in all of comics. LOVE THIS STUFF!!

Presently the second most infamous villain in the Doctor Who universe (Whoniverse). The Daleks, created by Davros, are angry amorphous being encased in metal and capable of flight, deathrays and sucking the life from anyone they encounter. Recently, a Dalek took some of Rose Tyler's essence and became more human, thus bringing the Daleks into a new era: more terrifying since they are capable of understanding fear!! Check out "Genesis Of the Daleks" for their origin to better understand them!

The UNIT audio series was really good action oriented drama. Thankfully, Big Finish took the best parts of UNIT's backstory from the Doctor Who series and even had Nicholas Courtney reprise his role as The Brigadier. If you get a chance, listen to this series all together. You won't be sorry!

Remixes are my second favorite way to listen to music. Yes, the originals are nice, but remixes offer up the best parts of songs and then carry them out to a more logical and enjoyable conclusion. Also, a remix is the way to make even slower songs into electro-dance hits. Adding a 132BPM to a song will make it "pop" in such a way as to be exciting! BTW, the best way to listen to music - MASHUPS! But Remixes are a solid #2 and climbing!

Not a zombie movie with any hope - the diaries in question start with a family holding a birthday party for their little girl and end with brutality. This is one of those "Blair Witch" shaky-camera films and features a lot of dark and earie shots. If you like zombies, you may enjoy this, but don't think it is as good as Romero's first trilogy (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead or Day of the Dead). This British import would have you believe that a documentary being filmed by a soldier would continue filming as he is in constant danger and even when one of the women gets raped.

Ok - this lady was truly a class act, but she also wore the skimpiest outfit in the Golden-Age! Phantom Lady deserves a vehicle to become one of the premier heroes of the DCU, but very few writers can capture her essence. Dan Didio needs to find someone who can do this!

Boardwalk Empire looks to be bigger and better than all of the other shows HBO has done recently and may surpass the Sopranos! Steve Buscemi in a role that looks to be tailor made for him and a story about the grand old mood in the middle of Prohibition New Jersey! What can't be good about this?
I saw these guys play live twice in Atlanta and they were FANTASTIC! Everyone said REM was the best band from Athens, but everyone I know who saw Dreams play disagreed!
