Wow. Starting with a harmonic instrumental and following with a blazing "This Day We Fight", I was pleasantly surprised. The solos for "44 Minutes" and the lead from "1,320'" are reminiscent of the Marty Friedman era, though the solos from the latter are a rather speed-freak kind of pointless. Its been forever since I've enjoyed the latter half of an album but from "Endgame" to "How the Story Ends" kept me guessing, interested and entertained. Ultimately, this is a very good Megadeth album, as a whole, not seen since the first half of the 90s.
