Electric Elle Bishop

Despite its average reception, Plastic Beach is my favourite Gorillaz album and one of my top albums of 2010. The collaborations on this album are just unbelievable; Mick Jones of The Clash, Lou Reed, Bobby Womack, Paul Simonon, almost every track a new voice twisted into a new genre with Damon’s lyrics. The cool thing about the album is that it told a story, the songs that were released with videos were all interlocked and it brought the animated characters to life, it took hold of my interest in a way no other album ever has.

It took me forever to find the extended play version. It had Doncamatic with Daley which was the best song on the album, but was so worth it.
