When Sammy Hagar was a solo artist he was stellar, when he joined Van Halen I think that band got better at least their song writing did, and now he finds himself in a band with Michael Anthony also a Van Halen alumni and they basically plug in a different Guitar God and a Smoking Hot Drummer and Chickenfoot was born... You could call it Van Hagar on steroids, these boys do nothing but rock from beginning to end on this album. When I heard they were going to do this I had doubts but they proved everyone wrong and knocked it out of the park...
I am excited to see they are writing songs and putting together their second album and I am sure it will be every bit as good as this one... BTW - What are those three Van Halen fellow doing these days? Living off memories... We play a Chickenfoot quite a bit on KXRX.net
