Ana Munoz you are too funny! NASA launched a press conference about how the earth appears to have a hole in its magnetosphere back in 08'. This part of the atmosphere is earth's shield against solar winds which if able to get through could cause all sorts of damage, including radiation.
That's one of the theories going around regarding the whole "2010 apocalyptic" mumble jumble.
At the very least reading about it can give people an educated point of view of which theories are plausible and which ones are BS specially since Hollywood is capitalizing on these type of films.
I enjoy these readings because you start reading about one thing and end up learning about 100 others. -
