what a complete wacko this dude was. i wouldn't even know who he was if it weren't for Bauhaus. so my mom was wrong...all that shoe-gazing i did when i was a little proto-goth girl at 13 really wasn't a waste of time. rather educational, really. (for the record, i think it was too long ago to call it "shoe gazing" when i did it. you little baby bats have it easy, what with your hot topics and such. in my day, we had to walk 5 miles to the goodwill, up hill, BOTH ways, in the snow, to get the raw materials to make our outfits....)
