      The Exorcist

Yeah, I know: I love exorcism movies, yet had never seen this one. Too scared. This film has stood the test of time when it comes to being unsettling and downright creepy, so I kind of distanced myself from it, 'cause hey, I'm a weenie at heart. But once I gave in and watched it, MY GOODNESS. The exposition was pretty slow, though the action throughout the rest of it made up for that tenfold. Little Regan's one-liners will have me forever LOLing, I can't help it. They're simply so vulgar and brutal and coming out of the mouth of a pre-teen girl and directed toward priests, it's... whoa. Shocking, to say the least. Having been bombarded with some of the more iconic scenes (e.g., head spinning around 360 degrees), actually seeing the whole thing made me realize it's so much more than a few disjointed moments. Jason Miller's conflicted Father Karras blew me away. His is one of the best performances I have ever seen on screen.

diana I LOVE EXORCISM MOVIES TOO, I've seen all the Exorcist movies, not because they're any good but just because I'm into it. This one though, the original I saw as a kid with my friends, late at night and it was perfect. I have such found memories of watching this movie. Classic.

Katie Turner I KNEW YOUR TASTE WAS FANTASTIC. Oh man, had I seen this as a kid I would've been traumatized. I remember watching Sphere and Scream late at night with friends during slumber parties. I have fond memories of those!

diana I really enjoyed Sphere as well! Apparently a lot of people do not appreciate that movie. I watched "Cube" on the Scifi channel at a sleepover once and I was the only one who enjoyed it. I think I still like that movie but I haven't seen it in a while. The only movie that may have traumatized me as a child was "It", I'm pretty sure I wasn't scared of clowns before I saw that movie. Of course now it seems silly, but it freaked me out when I was a kid.
