MAJArch @borymp but Bond films have become violent blow 'em up films like any other action hero film these days. What I think set them apart in the past was the debonaire man who could charm the pants off of anyone and used guns or killing as a last resort. The gadgets the girls the exotic locales. But those ideas may be too cliched now.

Mark I don't disagree by any means. But...would the womanizing Bond of the past work today? Pierce I get. What woman wouldn't like him. I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and say you like Thomas Crown Affair...no?

MAJArch @borymp I thought that film was really boring actually. And no, a womanizing Bond wouldn't work today, so why even keep the genre alive then? Does a character HAVE to evolve with the times or does he just fade away? I do like the fact they've made M a woman now.

MAJArch @borymp I think Connery was the best. I'm just a big fan of Pierce. Roger Moore was who I grew up with too and never understood the lady attraction. George Lazenby was in "Her Magesty's,,," I think. Looking back at Timothy Dalton, he got a bad rap but he played it more like Craig does now. I actually liked him.
