  Obviously the forerunner to Star Trek and Star Wars and pretty much all sci-fi movies. Amazing visual effects for 1956, incredibly imaginative for its time. It'll be interesting to see how James Cameron will be updating this classic in his 2013 version.

  Michael Wood Actually, it looks like Cameron was involved at one point... don't know if he is now. Joel Silver seems to be heading the production at this point. Looks like there aren't any concrete plans, but I would hope it would be a million times better than, say, the Lost In Space movie. Blech!
