Sami Suvanto I have done mostly business trips, so I always stayed at the hotels, and its hard to find inexpensive and reliable hotels. So its usually 200-400euros per night, however sometimes you can find reasonable price with reasonable service and location.

Sami Suvanto You most likely get better flight rates and hotel rates if you stay over weekend. I don't know much about living cost, if you rent or buy, but sure its really expensive closer to the center.

Sami Suvanto In many ratings in last years Moscow has been the most expensive city in the world (head to head with Tokyo, Oslo, London etc.) and the reason has been mainly the living cost.

Sami Suvanto Brian, I don't see your respond here, but to answer you I think the living cost is definitely related to business travels and high hotel cost however, there is truly odd pricing for the apartment rents for the local people and certainly for the businesses.
And what comes to private owned property what I hear from my affiliates in Moscow that the poor people who have been living at the city since Soviet times are still going to pay for their homes for very long time, read = forever, because of bad contracts etc what ever reasons more or less related to ludicrous conditions with bureaucracy and corruption.
