I was alone and naked. Abandoned at two. A feral child with unkempt facial hair and a rank odour. I was rescued by a kind but dysfunctional family who thought that socks were attached to sandals. At twelve I became aware that my excessive body hair might not get me invited to any parties, or even to the store. I went to Vinnie's Barber Shop and he fixed me up real good. At 15 I started my own band, The Veggie Burgers. We were famous on our floor at the apartment building. We were headed for big things. I decided that tutus were passe and ditched the band for a life in a travelling circus
