Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson If there is one thing I've learned, so far, about myself, it's that although my life hasn't been the easiest, I've done alright. I might not be the smartest, or the smoothest with words. I realize my sharp tongue and quick wit and lack of...well just plain "lack of" doesn't always leave me in the best of situations in life. But who among you can say, without hesitation or pause, that you are okay? That, sure life sucks, and it could get worse but hey...I'm happy! I can say that. And in that knowledge I stand tall. I might trip and fall. I might say the wrong things. Mean the wrong things. Hear the wrong things. But it's okay because I'll learn from my mistakes. I'll always strive to be & do better. And what I like to remember most when life does get a bit tough is where I came from. My past is something that shaped me and something that I always take a lesson from. Without my past mistakes, and friendships and enemies, wins and losses, heartbreaks and loves, I would not be as strong as I am today. You ask "who am I?" and I firmly reply "I am"
