My nick name has been "J.T." ever since I graduated from Westinghouse H.S. and went off to Hampton University in 1988! I've always had a passion for acting and the film industry. I pursued what I thought was my calling in the film industry from 1990-1996! I wrote atleast three feature-length screenplays. Early in the 90's I had the opportunity to work with Spike Lee as an intern on Mo' Better Blues. One of the three of my biggest regrets was not accepting that intern position. I had my reasons at the time but the main one was, "Fear." Another regret that I have was not doing whatever it took to finish my education at Hampton. The third regret was letting someone special get away. That's a whole other story! Through heartache, trials and tribulations I put the dream to work in the film industry aside and joined the military in 1999 at the age of 29. This was quite a life altering experience. Given the opportunity, I would have given this decision more thought. Things happen for a reason though and I am sure that I affected many people in a positive way throughout my army career. I am a former Combat Photographer and I completed two tours of duty in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which has a great deal to do with my being a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers Fan! I HATE bandwagon Steelers fans; those who self-appointed themselves to Steeler Nation because of the recent Super Bowl wins. I equate these people to the roaches that sneak out into the dark kitchen when the coast is clear (winning season) and scamper when the lights come on (losing season)! I have very little patience for ignorant people! This covers too much of a wide range of people to get into right now. So I'll just leave it at that. I HATE all forms of racism and bigotry no matter how blatant or subtle! I especially HATE the sneaky, closet racists! They are beneath the fairweather Steelers fans that remind me of roaches! (See above) I'm am by no means perfect and have many things to work on to become the man that God wants me to be. I have a pack a day habit. I have somewhat of an attitude but it really seems to just come out when I am addressing someone ignorant. I have to learn to not get caught up in ignorant conflicts. I'm a work in progress and God's not finished with me yet! Well, that's a little bit about me for now. I'll be back to edit this soon.
