I'm the mother of a tiny girl. My husband is new to the military, and for the first time we are living far away from the place where we both grew up. I love to cook. I love to make things with my hands. I like to figure things out. Curiosity and critical thinking are the two things I hold in the highest regard; faith is not a virtue in my eyes, but a downfall, the absence of reason and critical thinking. I love to learn about politics and religion, even though we're not "supposed to talk about them" :) I like being informed, and I can't stand it when people aren't informed, but that doesn't stop them from opening their mouths about it. Although I am an agnostic deist, I am sternly anti-theist. I strongly support the wall that divides religion and politics. I am not interested in living in a theocracy. I'm addicted to caffeine. I recently lost 35 lbs through diet and exercise and supplements. My mind is always reeling, not always pleasantly, but I'd rather be aware and unsatisfied than ignorant and docile. Every time I learn something new, figure something out, or accomplish a meal or piece of art, I feel a growing sense of satisfaction. Isn't that what life is? A serious of disappointments, highs, lows, and short term victories? Anyone who says they are happy all the time is lying or is completely shut off and numb to the world around them. Not sure which is worse. There is nothing in my life that defines me; I define my life.
