An incredible experience, including the fake movie trailers. It is significant how this double feature takes the misogyny of '70's grindhouse films and turns it on it's ear with themes of female empowerment! Although the extended dialogue scenes in the "Death Proof" have been ridiculed by some, I found them essential to the story, and not at all boring. Kurt Russell is back on his game, and his character equals some of his colorful characters of old, such as Snake Pliskin!

This film is a classic morality tale draped in sci-fi trappings. The performances were excellent, even though the ape costumes were somewhat primitive by today's standards. Even Charlton Heston's overacting adds to the story. The camera work was certainly ahead of it's time, and the musical score by Jerry Goldsmith is amazing! Ignore the recent remake, this is a must-see!

This is Hitch and Grant at the top of their games! All of the best scenes are pure Hitchcock, from the drunk driving scene to the crop duster scene to the final sequence on Mt. Rushmore. Cary Grant approaches the role with his usual wit, and even pokes some fun at his own legend. The incredible musical score by the brilliant Bernard Hermann is essential to the movie as well!

The showdown scene near the end with a Tiger tank is especially brilliant, with Clint borrowing from his spaghetti westerns!
