Jack used be be in a 2 man band called 'Tenacious D', in which he was the singer/lead guitarist & Kyle Gass was the bass guitarist. The band split in 1994. It was only a matter of time before Jack Black stepped up his career into acting. His first role was in the movie Shallow Hal also starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Jason Alexander. Jack's talent was clear from ever since he started & when it was announced he would be taking the lead in Peter Jackson's highly anticipated 2005 remake of King Kong there were no surprises although we did wonder how he would work in a more serious role. He passed with flying colour's as the movie & his role in it were a huge success. In 2006, he starred in director Jared Hess' comedy Nacho Libre as a Wrestler/Orphan worker. Since that he has starred in Tropic Thunder & of course providing that hilariously well known voice of Po in Kung Fu Panda 1 & 2.
