Jeri Ryan is a seriously superb actress. I don't know why it took me my fourth pass through Voyager to really start appreciating how talented she is.

Brian Dorn I totally agree. How she never really broke into movies is beyond me. Maybe she didn't want to. I saw her in the Mortal Kombat online series a few months ago. Not the most serious acting job, but she did awesome.

ladyteatime I've wondered that too. I find that goes across the board for Trek actors (except Stewart) that they don't seem to go anywhere after Trek. Its a bit sad that other shows won't hire Trek peeps

Denise A. Rudy Owens My oldest daughter, who is now 20 years old, met Jeri Ryan & got an autographed photo from her on "Take Your Daughter to Work Day" when she was 8 years old, when my husband was working on the Hubble Space Telescope at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. I recently told Jeri, via Google , that my daughter still remembers how nice Jeri was to her that day, & what fond memories my daughter still has of that day, & Jeri seemed really touched that I shared that story with her. It's nice to know that there are people in the entertainment industry who still appreciate their fans, & more importantly believe that it is important to make a good impression on their young fans!

kobe24mvp That's very cool! It was back in 97' 98' when I met Jeri when she was a newcomer at being 7 of 9. She was nice and beautiful too. I remember those security guards at the con wanted me to move along, but Jeri kept talking to me and she saw my camera on my wrist and she even took a picture with me when she didn't have to. I still have that photo and her autograph put away in my collection to this day. :) -
Denise A. Rudy Owens Thank you for sharing your story of meeting Jeri Ryan! I really enjoyed hearing it! I think that she is very special, especially since so many times all that we seem to hear about are the crazy, self-centered Hollywood people like Charlie Sheen & Ashton Kutcher. It's really nice to hear some good things for a change, isn't it! I read your last post to my daughter, & she told me that she also remembers on that day 12 1/2 years ago, a girl who was a teenager at the time, asking Jeri Ryan if she would read a Star Trek Voyager script that the teenager had written, out loud to the group of her fans, & that Jeri Ryan said that she would, & how thrilled the teen-aged girl was by that, & what a great impression that made on all of the girls that day. It's nice to know that Jeri Ryan gets that little acts of kindness do matter, especially since she has a young daughter of her own now.
