I have tons of respect and love for this man, along with Joss Whedon and Eric Kripke. They give me hope that Hollywood is not just a bunch of hacks without any original ideas.

I can't wait for the sequel to Star Trek this year! Yes, I am a Trekkie fan...guilty. However, few have done a noteworthy job in "keeping with" the late Gene Roddenberry's writings..Mr. Abrams did an outstanding job in still being able to stay within the idea of Star Trek, but redesigned it to be his own work too. I really can't wait to see what the second installment will be about or what he has planned next! It's great that Mr. Abrams did not do what so many others do time and time again, remake..ugh! He is one individual that I would truly love to meet in person, if just to "pick his mind" and have an intellectual conversation.

I think he has a unique way of designing shows and movies with such a way that leaves you to truly think about things in a different light and perspective. I have loved nearly all his movies(perhaps not the people starring in the movie), so it wasn't a huge leap to love the weekly shows. He does quite a bit of extra stuff that other tv shows skimp on or over...he won't bypass as it does add to the show. In the case of Fringe(my all time favorite because of what it's based on..real fringe therortical science) tho, this last season and current have been a letdown. Not sure why he would allow the writers to go off on a tandem on extreme fringe science, when the average person is enthralled and even sometimes mystified by the milder fringe science..? Why would you, as a top notch producer, want to kill a show that makes the average person think and wonder at the end of a work week?

Second favorite film director. Not only does he do great film work but his tv stuff is great as well :)
