(Writing my review for Crazy Stupid Love on this page)

Admittedly, I enjoy a good romantic comedy for all the similar reasons that others do; the ultimate happy ending with lovable characters that interact with each other in humorous ways but like all genres they tend to get a bit repetitious yet there are those few exceptions that revive a genre or set a new standard and personally “Crazy, Stupid, Love” is that film. Yet what truly sets this film apart from all the others its sincerity, not so much in its desire to be believable but more in its acceptance of real things that do and have happened. From innocent love and crushes, to divorce and failing relationships, to finding yourself in the most awkward of places and through unexpected people, “Crazy, Stupid, Love” embraces its namesake and does a wonderful job in taking itself into all those different moments, when we experienced each or all of those feelings at one point in our lives, with a cast that delivers it perf...

Say you're gay, then I'm not nuts, not undesirable, not rejected by another guy, just say it, say you're gay, Admit It!

Expressing the same playful qualities that made her loveable during her years in the series A Different World, Marisa has become a fine actress who has exceptionally embraced dramatic roles, while still maintaining the same comedic elements that make her a joy to watch. Branching off into independent films that have gained critical success due most in part to her lead performances, she is still very present in mainstream films which have only increased her exposure to a wider audience. Add to that her facials expressions that have such a wide range of emotion, a genuine humility, and a sexual appeal that still is breathtaking, Marisa does not need to be one of the highest grossing actresses to easily be one of the best Hollywood has to offer and one of my absolute favorites.
