Matthew Bomer publicly came out as a gay man in February, thanking his partner and their three kids during an awards show. On Saturday, the 34-year-old White Collar star and Simon Halls, a Hollywood publicist, made their red carpet debut as a couple at the American Fertility Association's Illuminations 2012 in L.A.

Both in suits, Bomer and Halls were all smiles in this rare joint public appearance.

For years, Bomer dodged questions about his sexuality. But earlier this year, he thanked his "beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker [and] Henry," and credited them for "teaching me what unconditional love is."
