Octavia Spencer has to be the favorite for Best Supporting actress followed by Jessica Chastain (formerly nominated for THE HELP but she's been EVERYWHERE this year: the recently-released CORIOLANUS, TREE OF LIFE, THE DEBT, TAKE SHELTER, TEXAS KILLING FIELDS, etc.) but it would be a really pleasant surprise to see McCarthy take this home. I haven't seen a comedic performance I've pulled for as hard since Robert Downey, Jr. was up for his role in TROPIC THUNDER.
