What makes “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” one of those unexpected surprises, is in its casting that takes a wonderful range of actors and fits them ideally into this simple but pleasant romantic comedy that even though follows the traditional formula, makes enough changes to make it stand out and one worth watching over and over again. Grounded nicely by Segel, who has a way of making you feel for his character, the film is able to take the premise of a break-up and make it ridiculously funny without losing the very thing that makes it genuine. Nicely supported by a diverse amount of characters played by Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, and the very quirky yet hilarious Russell Brand and perfectly counteracted by the lovely Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell, “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” is the exact type of comedy that reminds you why you loved and hated your ex but glad you moved on.
