watching Derek, E1. completely unsure of what to expect

Just watched "Derek" and Wow! Is it amazing! Really amazing stuff from Ricky once again.

Finally getting round to watching "Derek."

I don't get why he is so hated by people. He is clearly educated and very charitable...overall a good guy among so many awful (greedy/superficial/etc.) actors. Stop hating him!

Just watched Ricky Gervais and Karl Pilkington in the pilot of 'Derek' about a careworker in an old people's home (who possibly may have learning difficulties). Ricky Gervais can annoy the heck of me a lot of the time, but I have to say that I was moved to tears in the final 10 minutes - absolutely amazing.

Holy comedian. Earthly laughs.

I'm not a fan, but I'll defend him. How is his humor any worse than Jay Leno's? I find it mean-spirited, but to each his own brand of humor.
