Gonna kick back and watch this again! I love this movie alot! I believe this to be a good sequel for its predessor and time. A unique perspective on how the cold war politics of the time played upon a serious view of the future. How things would soon begin to change after this films 1984 release.

Well, it's not Kubrick, but it's still pretty cool.

Wow, I can't believe they had to recreate all those sets of the Discovery. Pretty good follow up to Space Odyssey, and you can tell Hyams tried hard to be faithful to Kubrick's original 2001 vision.

Finally watched my Amazon.com rental before it expired. Its fun to watch as an outer space adventure, but is a terrible sequel.

Classicaly awesome. Gives a real sense of hope for the future of man.
