I avoided this film for so long because the first film 28 Days Later gave me daymares for weeks afterward. I suspect this one will probably do the same now that I've finished watching it. In saying that though, this was a more targeted film, the story is driven by the simple fact that their desire to find a cure rests in the genes of Andy who appears to be immune but can be a carrier of the rage virus. Scarlet (played brilliantly and sympathetically) by Rose Byrne needs to protect Andy at all costs. Doyle played by Jeremy Renner is the self-sacrificing army sniper who literally gives everything to get everybody to safety. The infected are once again terrifyingly brilliant in their ferocity and speed and the fast paced action sequences are nauseatingly great. The scariest thing about this movie is the fact that it is shockingly possible and so ridiculously easy for an infection to take hold and spread with little we can do apart from blanket...

Favorite zombie movie?

Not a fan of zombie movies but I'm gonna give this one a go. Judging by all the comments the movie doesn't seem too bad.

The opening scene is awesome.

Zombie movie marathon. 28 Days Later then this topped off with Shaun of the dead.

Watching this movie... while i wait to October too see The walking Dead Season 3.

i watched this solely because of robert carlyle and rose byrne, but it iturned out to be actually good..gory, bloody and loud, but also horribly depressing. worth seeing? yes. 7.4/10

This movie is such a letdown of a sequel. Poor directing IMO.. Outbreak could have easily been avoided in this one =\
