I fell a sleep watching it last night so watching the rest this morning with Lennon.

i gotta say i kinda dont see the fuss it seems quite slow... I think i actually prefer chronicle to this but im told the manga to this is a lot better. it seems quite confusing by itself...

I really wanted to watch this but damn, i don't really see the big deal... It ended up with just a lot of gore...

Watched this after a long, long time. Probably one of the best animie movies ever. They should remake this...

Kanye West used Akira as a basis for one of his music videos! Still can't beat the actual thing, and in true Japanese with subtitles, although the dubbed version is quite good!

I stil have original Streamline Pictures version and the newer redubbed terrible version. Love the original more ever though ppl say the the newer one is better...meh

It's been at least 20 years since I've seen this and the graphics are still great.

The first Anime I ever owned on VHS , LaserDisc , DVD and Blu-Ray.

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me this. Is it true that there a version of Akira that shows at the beginning how world war 3 started? And I don't mean the explosion of Tokyo.

Nothing but great things to say about this movie. I remember watching this on VHS as a kid, fantastic manga series and an awesome anime that still holds its own today.
