Better than Alien 3, yes, but still an ill-contrived movie and a really weird and bizarre movie, at that. It feels like it's trying to hone back to "Aliens", but all it's doing is being a trashy space movie with no signs of visiblity that has a $70 million budget, compared to Aliens, which had ten times the brilliance this movie has, in a mere $18 million budget. The later Alien films do feel like dirty secrets to well-crafted filmmakers, particularly directed to David Fincher (who directed Alien 3) and Joss Whedon (who wrote the screenplay to this "movie").

Just finished 3, now for Resurrection, then maybe AvP 1 & 2.

It has 'resurrection' in the title. My hopes are not high...

I didn't realize this one was written by Joss Whedon!

I expected so much more from this movie, it was alright

This is my favorite of the series.

I don't care what anyone says. I still like this movie. I think of it like the unplanned, unwanted child: I accept its flaws and love it despite them.

No Ripley, no Newborn/Hybrid and an alternative explanation for how they got Aliens on the Auriga would've at least made it an entertaining action movie. Oh well, at least there were no Predators.

Between Whedon's Avengers, Scott's Prometheus, and the Now Playing retrospective series, it seemed like the perfect time to settle in and finally watch this.

This one is just not as good as the others. Part 1 and 2 are fantastic. 3 and 4 drop the ball. Just like the Terminator films.

after this I just have to wait until Prometheus is out
