I loved the history! And enjoyed that every-time they went to a talking head. They listed a different movie they directed.

Fascinating, and largely forgotten aspect of American pop culture in the early-to-mid 20th Century.

Interesting look at the evolution of not only exploitation cinema but cinema itself.

Gonna give this a shot before I sleep...

Decent set of talking heads; Robert F's narration is prosaic and nothing overly revelationary here. Fun though.

I didn't realize grind had such a long illustrious history

This is a pretty good, basic retrospective on grindhouse cinema. I would like to dig deeper into its history and the sub genres within.

Interviews with Dante, Lustig, Landis, etc & narrated by Robert Forster. Been meaning to see this for a while.

I am watching the outstanding documentary American Grindhouse.

Pretty educational. And really surprising how far grindhouse goes back.

Gonna finish watching this via Netflix streaming when I get home from work.

I love grindhouse films, especially the gore of Herschell Gordon Lewis, horror like The Last House on the Left, and exploitation films, whether they be blaxploitation, women in prison films, and even nunsploitation.

I guess that makes me weird, but grindhouse films in various forms have existed from the birth of motion pictures. Films like Maniac, Reefer Madness, and more have titillated moviegoers for almost 100 years.

This documentary does an excellent job of reviewing exploitation from the beginning, complete with uncensored clips from the movies they talk about.

If grindhouse is something you are not familiar with, then this documentary will enlighten you. It is for all those who want to know more.

Wow gotta see it
