John Goodman gives a fine performance as the legendary Babe Ruth, who pulled himself up from a childhood spent in reform school to become one of the most talented players ever to grace a baseball diamond. The movie, which co-stars Kelly McGillis, Trini Alvarado and Bruce Boxleitner, chronicles The Babe's career from start to finish, along with his demons, battles and many loves.
This is my favorite movie. I can't explain the feeling I get when Babe steps on the field for the last time and hits that homer, it's like your last chance at leaving a legacy. Which he did.
