this was a bad movie. Peter Berg got steamrolled by the producers.

Any intelligent studio executive could see that this was going to be an epic disaster and bomb at the box office before it even got made. Now if they had done this for a low budget of 20-50 million they still could have made some money with it. Any smart person would have passed on this film, and also that stinker, John Carter. First time I saw the trailer for that, I predicted that movie was going to be a HUGE bomb.

Wait for DVD

Going this week. I'm pleasantly surprised at all the good feedback about the movie.
