How anyone could think the 1988 version of this could even compare is beyond me. Every time that old man has that little glob of goo on a stick I get quivery. "I can't get it off!" Ugh.

This was the "scary" movie my boyfriend and I watched for Friday the 13th. It was my choice. We couldn't come up with a horror movie that was actually scary that neither of us had seen, so we went with cheesy scary. Neither of us had seen The Blob before, so it fit the bill. It is an awful movie, but it's good awful (i.e. it's fun to make fun of and has lots of unintentional humor).

Beware of the Blob, the '58 film is a bloody brilliant movie.

Watching the original 1958 version of The Blob. Goes to show ya that you should never poke things for fun.
