Anna Tutor I usually love older movies the characters and writing have a richness but i found those elements in this movie a very flat telling. I did not know about the graphic violence aspect. That is an interesting note.

Tito Balleste Yes, also a good observation - I think the very flat telling aspect played into the mid-60's US rebellion/alienation the film also reflected. -
Hithesh Devasya It is a landmark film, no question about it. The graphic violence is one of the first instances in Hollywood. The writing and acting is bland or to be more precise, unnatural. The first time I watched it around 5 years back, I liked it a lot but now, I certainly don't see much quality in it.
