Have not seen many movies that held me enthralled like this one. I loved the story and the presentation was honest and horrific.

Really enjoyed this. Great story told very very well.

This film was also based on a 1997 semi-autobiographical novel by Paulo Lins, about three young men and their lives in Cidade de Deus, a shanty area in Western Rio de Janeiro where Lins grew up
