I am watching Clash of the Titans, and a little pissed I paid to see it in 3D the first time around.

I've heard rumblings of a sequel and although I found this enjoyable, there was a certain je ne sais quoi missing from the movie and I'm not sure I'd bother with a second. Oh, who am I kidding, I'd probably pay to see it in 3d!

As mythology movies go it wasn't half bad. I have seen much better the only reason I will give this movie a good review is because I have 4 friends who were extras in the movie and I promised them I wouldn't say anything bad about it. 7.1 out of 10

Crap of the Titans!?

Big, loud and dumb but in a good way

This movie was garbage, it made no sense and the acting was terrible. There was no actual "Clash" of the Titans, since the Krakken was actually Hades son and not in fact, a Titan. Duh.

Nice effects, but the story was AWFUL. It's like they had a list of the characters from the original movie and wrote a totally different and utterly nonsensical story to loosely tie them together in ways that in no way resembled the original, or the ancient legends that inspired it.

I think it's so stupid that they just HAD to release it in 3D because that's what's "popular" right now. The biggest problem was that it was never filmed for 3D and it just made the movie look terrible. I wish I hadn't spent money seeing it in 3D. The only reason I did was because there was no 2D version at the time I could see it. Lame.

Really liked this movie the first time I saw it.. second time was ok.. still good tho..

This was pretty good but I couldn't help to compare it to the original. Of the course the special effects were superior but I did have questions like what about the mechanical owl. Why even show it briefly and not include it?

A good film, don't compare it to the original though... I think that the one thing this film misses is a bit of soul. it just doesn't have the same impact the original did, but is a good retelling of a classic...

Crap! No character development, no story set up. Crap!

Ok movie. But original 70's film has a better story.

No good. At all. Not even a bit. Huge disappointment. And Sam Worthington is probably one of the worst actors today.

Better than I expected. Everyone said it was bad but i had to watch it for myself and enjoyed it:)

This was a remake, but a loose one at best. They kept a couple basic concepts and sequences, but really did change around a lot of the story. On its own merit the film was nothing more than a CGI overload with some good action and weak script (although you do get a lot more focus on the back story of Perseus and the Gods in this one). Having watched the original as a kid more times than I could even try to count I will say this movie was disappointing. Ray Harryhausen was a genius with what he did making the effects back in 1981 and I definitely preferred the cast in that film (Hamlin, Meredith, Olivier, Andress...see...awesome). Without giving away too much for those that haven't seen it yet, here are some pros and cons from a remake standpoint:
Pros: Scorpion fighting scene was awesome and the Medusa effects were a lot better. The Kraken was a lot more sea beast looking than the odd lizard gorilla style in the original. The eye of the witches was a lot more eye looking tha...
