Just finished the book for the 5th time...always end it off with the movie...next is Alex Haley's Queen..these movies keep me grounded...

One of the best movies I've ever seen! It shows what life was like for black people who had to be alienated because of the discrimination of the white ones. It also depicts the abuse they suffered because of them. Acting was great also, had never seen Oprah Winfrey acting before this film.
