One of my favorite, favorite stories ever... Loathe the concept of "black history" month (it's ALL American history, not some damn novelty) but love when I get to see this treat of a movie!

I've now realized after watching this again just now, the back story of how a man can redeem himself no matter how late in his life. Wonderful film.

This movie is a 3 hankie for sure. Haven't seen it in a long while yet still brings on the tears.

I have mixed feelings every time I see this movie, while I love the movie and the ending of it at the same time the abuse, incest and child molestation drives me freaking insane.
