Awesome. I saw this a loooong time ago and have loved it ever since. For some reason the zombie baby in the park scene has always stuck with me.

Zombies Romance, Black Comedies, Satires and Splatter-movie don't go together but Peter Jackson seems to have that magic glue to stick them all up. Also you might gain some knowledge about other uses of your lawn mower....

The funniest zombie movie ever created! Dead Alive is so gruesome, vulgar, and disgusting, and hilarious! I love this movie for being a success.

Dead Alive was such a wonderful surprise when it came out it helped to put Zombies back into the game. The only kick ass Zombie film before this was Romero's Dawn of the Dead. Dead Alive as a film in the horror /Zombie subgenre and of the horror /Comedy subgenre film breaks all of the rules the blood alone is more than Peckinpah ever dreamed there's a bit of weird child abuse there's Zombies making out and having little Zombie demonic children .And babies need their daily outing so what was he thinking and what's with the Black Belt Minister who as he says "Kicks ass for the lord" This film seemed way over the top from early on and then it went even further and besides a real gross out it has heart and a love story star crossed lovers or the Zombie Care-giver and it is absolutely spit your beer out your nose hilarious.

If you're a fan of "Lord of the Rings" or "The Lovely Bones" and you're looking to check out Peter Jackson's early stuff, be *very* careful!

Great film though - hilarious. Had me crying with laughter at the cinema.

I don't want to give anything away, but you can probably tell whether you're going to like the film by how you might react to someone's ear falling off (in to their custard), being scooped back up on their spoon, eaten - except for the earring, which gets dribbled back out. My mate said he nearly threw up (at the cinema) at that point. I thought it was funny.
