My second James Dean movie in a week. I saw Rebel With Out A Cause at a revival theater on Monday. He was such a method actor, it shows in every single scene!

Tracey Maken He did have a unique style all his own, not just clothing, it was everything he did. Sal Mineo died young as well, (he was stabbed to death) and didn't have the mystique Dean did. He had incredible potential, but was reckless and obstinate,in turn, he lost everything. So did we.

1st time seeing this movie. Will give it a try.. not indicative of a genre I'd usually watch. Have high hopes.

Yes, the book is better than the movie...but as a Kazan film (and one of only three films James Dean would star in) this film will always be a relevant watch...and it's a very good film.

I learned a long time ago to judge a film version of a book on its own merit because I always think that the book is better than the movie.

Okay, I know, James Dean is cute as hell in this. But the story... it's totally different from the book. And yes, the book is so much better.

Never watched all the way through. Really well done. Burl Ives da bomb and how have I never noticed Jo Van Fleet. She is awesome. Great classic.
