With cash from a cocaine sale, freewheelers Billy and Wyatt hop on their motorcycles and ride across America toward New Orleans. Along the way, they add boozy lawyer George to their trouble-finding, society-questioning entourage. Dennis Hopper writes, directs and stars in this landmark 1960s counterculture film; Peter Fonda co-writes and co-stars.
I suspect that even if I were otherwise inclined to like this movie, my HS English teacher effectively managed to metaphor it right out of me. Either way- I'm not impressed.

Classic 1969 road flick with Dennis Hopper and Peter Fodna as a pair of drug running bikers on the search for the true America. Iconic soundtrack and tight direction just slide this picture along your senses, from it's mellow opening right down the line to its grand finale. Elevated both stars and a young Jack Nicholson to the status of icons. Can't go wrong.
