The first film was superior, but this sequel covers a much richer period of Queen Elizabeth's reign.

Kate Blanchett absolutely nails this part. I thought Betty Davis' performace was brilliant (and it is), but Kate's is perfect.

Everything is great about this film with the exception of actor Clive Owen. He is terrible in every film I have ever seen him in and this is no exception. Cate Blanchett is fantastic as always... more
