Still the best Arthurian Legend experience on film. It's one of my favorite films, but I would really like to see someone like Peter Jackson do a treatment of this material and expand things. Those not familiar with the legend probably do not get what's going on at times. Film geeks should definitely check out Boorman's commentary on DVD sometime. Good stuff!

John Boorman's Fantasy about the legend of King Arthur and the knights of Camelot it goes through Arthur's youth to his gaining Lance a Lot and Excalibur itself which does look awesome and to his marriage to Gwen and the rise of the round table and finally his search for the holy grail and Arthur's final battle to save his legacy as king out of all the versions this is my personal favorite also look for a very young Patrick Stewart.

Best film retelling of the Arthurian legend... So stirring at the end when the sword is thrown back into the water and caught majestically by the Lady of the Lake.

This movie is simply gorgeous. Only issue, is the overly shiny armor. The reflections of crew and equipment were seen a few times.
