the best film I saw last year that I should have seen three years ago... FISH STORY IS PERFECT XD

Enjoyed this so much when I saw it through Netflix, I ended up buying it. One of my new favorites.

Can't sleep... checkin' this out again.

Japanese. Amusing story about a chain of events. A bit tiresome in the last half, which dragged like hell, but overall a pretty good film.

Just finished a second viewing... love this film.

Been waiting a long time to see this

A pretty cool story about how a Japanese punk band saves the world from a comet. Not as dumb or sci-fi as it sounds.

A fun movie that takes through the origin of a song and how it just might save the world.

I'll have to watch that one again sometime. I loved the movie and the music.

Film ini sukses mengingatkan kenapa saia dulu bisa jatuh cinta pada film-film Jepang. Cerita unik yang fresh,judul yang menggelitik rasa ingin tahu, opening yang tidak jelas juntrungannya, penjelasan awal yang cenderung absurd, musik berlirik norak dari sebuah band punk fiksi, penggalan-penggalan kisah yang ibarat tidak berkaitan satu sama lain, semua ada di sini. Fish Story sukses menghibur dengan caranya tersendiri. Awalnya mungkin bakal pasrah mengikuti akan ke mana cerita ini berkembang, karena tampaknya sang sineas tidak memberi sedikitpun petunjuk adegan apa berikutnya yang akan dihadirkan.
Nyaris semua genre film dapat ditemui di sini (komedi, drama, misteri, sci-fi, mockumentary, action). Namun, semua itu akan terjelaskan tanpa sisa dalam bagian paruh akhir. Endingnya yang berlevel "Harap Maklum" membuat Fish Story sangat khas -- Hanya Jepang yang bisa bikin film seperti ini. Akhir kata dikarenakan segala keabsurdan dan kejutan yang saia dapatk...
