I've been looking forward to watching most of Michael Fassbender's work on film and so last night I picked Fish Tank, which won the Jury Prize at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.and the 2010 BAFTA for Best British Film. The film deserved them both. It is truly commanding and emotionally satisfying. Check this out: Katie Jarvis, who plays Mia, had no prior acting experience. She was cast for the film after one of Arnold's (the director) casting assistants saw her arguing with her boyfriend in Tilbury Town railway station, which is the station featured in the film. One just never knows, does one?

Netflix said it's almost about 4 stars. ;)

I missed some sleep to finish it...so worth it! Such a complex film, with so much to say... Also fassbender burning up the screen with a wickedly played philanderer.
