I was a junior in high school when I ran away from home and I took a bus to NYC and it was 1968-I was 17 years old and the first thing I did was go to the movies and see FUNNY GIRL with Barbara Streisand and I was in love. It was her first feature film and was the highest-grossing film of that year.

I finally got the whole Streisand-thing after I saw this one. I'm still in Judy's camp, mind you, but I get why some prefer Babs.

Every time I watch this movie, I'm reminded why I love Barbra's singing voice. No one has the power in their voice like she has. "Don't Rain On My Parade" is a great example.
