Great movie based on the story of a hermit (played by the wonderful Robert Duvall) in the '30s who emerges from solitude and throws himself a funeral party so that he can publicly confess a secret from his past. A blend of humour and tradegy.

This was a fun little movie that told an interesting story. A hermit in a small town is the source of both wonderment and fear for their citizens as he insists on isolating himself. When he realises he's sick and possibly dying, he comes out from his cabin home and asks for a funeral. The only catch? His funeral party has to be a shindig of epic proportions and he has to attend it while he's still alive. The funeral director (played brilliantly by Bill Murray) and his assistant bust their ass to get his requests done. As the truth unfolds, the movie takes a turn from funny to deep as we find out just why he's been a hermit for over 40 years. Perfectly acted with subtlety, humour, and then grace this movie is executed very well.

This was quite a good movie. Slow moving and no action scenes, but heartfelt and eventually redeeming.

Watching it with my baby... Looks sooo good!
