I actually liked this movie, despite the fact that I did not like Scarlett Johansson in the role of Thora Birch's best friend. Steve gives a great performance, as usual.

And when this came out, I really thought Birch was on her way. Now ScarJo's in the upcoming AVENGERS and on the cover of Vanity Fair and Thora? I think she might still get regular invites to Playboy Mansion based on the cred of former porn star parents. Oh, you didn't know? What other kinda folks would've let their teen daughter go as topless as Thora did in AMERICAN BEAUTY?
