Outstanding film. The cast without exception is fantastic, and the original script melds beautifully with quotes and clips of historical footage. The challenge against free speech us as valid today as it was then, so this really struck home. 10/10

All-star cast, and a story about the battle of the television medium against the widespread panic created by Senator McCarthy.

What a fantastically-made film, from a tumultuous and interesting period--and the striking parallels with our own modern-day neo-McCarthyism shouldn't be overlooked.

I think the tactics that Senator McCarthy employed are still utilized today in politics, a deliberate use of fear tactics and playing upon people's prejudices and fears. The Republican party especially seems to love McCarthyism. I applaud people like Murrow who refuse to cave in to people like McCarthy and to shed the lights of fact and reason onto the ignorance people like him spew out.

Finally saw this movie after waiting too long. Edward Murrow is such a great inspiration for today, but unfortunately our current corporate pimped 24/7 news media has twisted his vision and inspiration into something that is polarizing and degrading our political discourse instead of enhancing it. Mr. Murrow is definitely needed today to cut through this BS.

Really is a fascinating look at the moment the media stopped reporting the news and started making the news.

I loathe watching movies in class, especially when I have it at home. Uncomfortable chairs, people I don't care to know let alone watch a film with, and no candy or popcorn. Please, let me goooooo.
