I remember this as a kid and I'm already (20 minutes in) a bit amazed how accurately it follows the original Sherlock Holmes books now that I'm all grown up.

This week the actor, Laurie Main, who provided the voice of Doctor Watson in this film passed away.
As is a tradition with me, I am sitting down this evening to watch this film. The last time I can remember watching this film was back in 1996, when I was working in daycare. Sadly, the children fail to appreciate the Holmes like qualities of Basil.
