MY SON TOLD ME WHEN HE HAS A SON, HE'S GOING TO SIT WITH HIM AND HAVE HIM WATCH IT (kind-of sounded like Johnny Cash's "Boy Named Sue" there for a second) ANYWAY HE TOLD ME HE WOULD NEVER HITCH AFTER SEEING THAT (thank you Rutger Hauer) I HAVE NEVER REGRETTED DOING THIS, AND AM GLAD IT KEPT HIM OUT OF STRANGERS CARS... YES, THE ORIGINAL IS A WHOLE LOT CREEPIER THAN THE REMAKE... MY SON WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREES!

I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe that one man with a knife took out a whole Sheriffs station by himself.

My fiancé has this on even though he hates it. I've never bothered with it. No Rutger Hauer, no sadomasochistic gay subtext, female protagonist. It's all wrong. The original never needed a remake.

The awesomely bad remake, though it's a good time killer. I use the term good loosely.

Call me crazy but this is Platinum Dunes' best remake.

My damn ps3 won't play the disc, so I can only watch this on my ps2! :/

Sean Bean doesn't scare me. He was in Lord of the Rings and Oblivion as good guys.

Watching The Hitcher on Blu-Ray. I loves me some Sophia Bush! Also, Sean Bean is an excellent psycho killer.
