Stumbled upon this on HD whilst channel surfing. Excellent early 80's Tony Scott vampire film, based on the novel by Whitley Strieber. Catherine Deneuve is an ancient vampire, and David Bowie her lover of some 200 years, promised the gift of eternal life. Deneuve sets her sights on Susan Sarandon when Bowie's years start to rapidly catch up with him. Stylish and slick, and also responsible for making Bahaus's 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' the anthem of goth-rockers the world over. Beautifully shot, and does not suffer from the schizophrenic editing found in much of director Scott's later work. Top notch.

The movie makes no sense if you haven't read the book, but it looks beautiful.
