A young Alec Baldwin was the perfect Jack Ryan. ....can't stand Harrison Fords playing that role.

This was on tv this afternoon and it's still a great movie, apart from the extremely Scottish, Russian Submarine Captain hahaha

Tim Curry's, really not a very good serious actor is he?

We don't seem to have the kind of movie male lead actors these days that we used to. I dunno, but it seems people like Sean Connery, Clint Eastwood etc just seem to have more on screen presence and gravitas than today's stars. And there's just something about 80's films. I'd forgotten what a great film this is, and Sean Connery is brilliant in it (even if he does even seem to speak Russian with a Scottish accent, lol).

Have'nt watched this for a while, nice way to spend a tuesday afternoon!

not that im complaining cus its a bloody amazing film but it dus strike me as a bit of a strange programming choice for c4 to be showing this at 1230 on a tus day time ?
